OCD is a short term treatment, consisting of 15 to 20 sessions, plus a consult and assessment. Some people need more time — especially those with co-morbid conditions — although some need less. However, ultimately OCD treatment is short term, and does not take years of therapy. Some people like to have occasional check-ins, or maintenance sessions as well.
While the New England OCD Institute does not accept insurance, we give detailed super bills that one can submit to their insurer. If ones insurance has out of network benefits, these bills can be submitted for reimbursement. We recommend that people contact their insurance before beginning treatment to determine the level of coverage. We do assist in contacting insurance but not do direct billing.

The clinic has interns and new trainees, who are able to offer lower-priced therapy for those who qualify. All interns are supervised by OCD experts, who are also available as needed to clients. This is a sliding scale based on income. Unfortunately, these slots are limited. We also provide these lower cost options to veterans and those with disabilities.
